About Bhadrakali Temple, Warangal :

Bhadrakali Temple is one of the most established sanctuaries for Goddess Bhadrakali, arranged on a ridge between the two urban communities of Hanamkonda and Warangal.

Warangal Bhadrakali Temple History :

The sanctuary is accepted to be worked in 625 A.D by the King Pulakeshin II of Chalukya tradition to recognize his triumph over Vengi locale of Andhra Desham, according to the compositions on the sanctuary divider.

Kakatiya lords later have received the sanctuary and considered Goddess Bhadrakali as their "Kula Devatha". A lake was additionally worked by Ganapati deva adjoining the sanctuary. Because of the fall of Kakatiya line to the Muslim leaders of Delhi, the sanctuary lost its noticeable quality. Allauddin Khilji decimated the sanctuary and plundered the koh-I-noor precious stone, which was in crown of the goddess bhadrakali murti. In 1950, the sanctuary was remodeled by Sri Ganapathi Sastri a devi upasaka alongside the assistance of a neighborhood vendor and other well-off locals.Apara Ekadashi is seen as Goddess Bhadrakali Ekadashi. The history of the Koh-I-Noor precious stone; some portion of British Crown Jewels, is nearly connected with this sanctuary as it was introduced, as the left eye of Goddess Bhadrakali by the Kakatiya tradition.
