Train departs for Kanchipuram Railway Station (2200 kms/44 hrs) at 14:00 hrs.
Lunch service onboard.

Day 3 : Kanchipuram

Morning tea & breakfast onboard.
Train arrives at Kanchipuram Railway Station at 0700 hrs.
Deboard and proceed to hotel for check in, followed by lunch.
Later start for the sightseeing of Kamakshi Amman temple (Shakti peeth)
And Varadaraja Perumal temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Return back to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kanchipuram.

Day 4 : Mahabalipuram

Early morning, proceed for Ekambareswarar Temple at 06:00 hrs.
Return back to hotel for breakfast.
Later checkout by 10:00 hrs and start for Mahabalipuram (70 kms/2 hrs).
Arrive Mahabalipuram by 1200 hrs.
Visit the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Lunch at a suitable place.
Post lunch visit the Shore Temples followed by the beach (enjoy sunset).
Proceed for Chengalpattu Railway Station (30 kms/40 mins)
Board the train for Coimbatore Railway Station at 20:00 hrs.
Dinner will be served onboard.
Train departs for Coimbatore Railway Station at 21:00 hrs (460kms/9 hrs).
Overnight journey in the train.

Morning tea onboard.
Train arrives at Coimbatore Railway Station by 06:00 hrs.
Deboard the train and head for the hotel for wash & change and breakfast.
Check out by 11:00 hrs.
Proceed for sightseeing of Adiyogi Shiva Statue.
Visit Dhyanalinga Temple of Isha Foundation, holder of the Guinness World Record for the largest bust sculpture.
Later lunch at a suitable place.
Post lunch, visit Perur Pateeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Evening free for shopping (textiles, sweets etc.)
Proceed to Coimbatore Railway Station.
On arrival, board the train. Dinner will be served onboard.
Train starts for Rameshwaram Railway Station at 23:00 hrs.
Overnight train journey.

Lunch onboard.
Arrival at Madurai Railway Station.
Deboard the train.
Proceed to visit the Meenakshi Amman temple dating back to 6th century BC.
Evening free time near the temple for shopping.
Return to Madurai Jn Railway Station for boarding train by 20:00 hrs.

Lunch at hotel.
Later resume sightseeing by visiting Kumariamman temple & Gandhi Mandapam.
Evening, relax by the beach.
Later return back to Kanyakumari Railway Station.
For onwards journey for Tiruchchirapalli Jn Railway Station at 22:30 hrs.
Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 9 : Tiruchirapalli

Train arrives at Tiruchchirapalli Jn Railway Station at 06:30 hrs.
Morning tea and breakfast will be served onboard.
Deboard and proceed for the sightseeing of the Rock fort temple (5 kms/15 mins).
Post sightseeing, proceed for the hotel for lunch and check-in.
Later proceed for the sightseeing of Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam.
The temple is dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Lord Vishnu.
And one of the most important pilgrimages of Tamil Nadu.
Next visit Jambukeshwar Temple, 2.5 kms from Srirangam.
It is a Shiva temple also considered as a Panchbhoota sthal.
In evening return back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Tiruchchirapalli.

Day 10 : Thanjavur & Kumbakonam

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel by 09:00 hrs.
Start for Thanjavur by road (60 kms/1hr)
Upon arrival proceed for the sightseeing of Brihadeswarar Temple.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Later lunch at a suitable place.
Free time for shopping (silks, bronze sculptures, paintings etc.)
Later proceed for Kumbakonam (40 kms/1 hr).
Visit Darasuram Airavathesvara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva near Kumbakonam.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site part of the Great Living Chola Temples trio.
Post sightseeing, return back to Kumbakonam Railway Station for boarding the train.
Dinner will be served onboard.
Train departs for Delhi at 21:00 hrs.
Overnight train journey.

Terms & Conditions

Itinerary is tentative and can be changed or modified subject to smooth and timely running of Train. The final Timing will be based on the Train order received from the railways.
IRCTC has right to alter itinerary under unavoidable circumstances and is not liable for any type of natural calamities/strikes/cancellation/delay of train/insurgency of any such nature which is beyond control during the tour period.
Operation of Deluxe Tourist Train is subject to minimum number of passengers booked.
Passengers before boarding the train should ensure the proper check-up of their body/health from their doctor in order to be fit for travelling; IRCTC will not be responsible for any mishap due to unfit condition/health problem such as restlessness/anxiety/breathing problem (asthma)/any other physical problems and natural death of passengers.

DO'S & DON’T:

Maintain general hygiene.
Tourists should wear face mask if suffering from cough and cold.
All tourists should refrain from spitting while in the train, tourist places, buses, hotels etc.
Stay away from touching of statues/idols/holy objects at religious/tourist sites.
No prasad distribution or sprinkling of holy water etc. inside the train.
May follow the decorum at all points of time.
Refrain from disruptive behavior on the train and off it.
Please be mindful when using phone in common areas. Do not play music loudly which could be potentially intrusive for your fellow passenger.
Please wear formals/smart casuals at the restaurant during meal times.

Tour Manager

Tour Manager is the single point contact for all information pertaining to the train and itinerary. Please follow the guidelines of the Tour Manager at all times.

During Train Journey

Do not pull the chain while traveling on train as it is a punishable offence when done without a valid reason.
Do not waste water unnecessarily in the train.
Do not cross railway tracks. Use foot over bridges.

Attire

Please ensure that your attire does not offend the locals/visitors at the places you visit.
At holy shrines, you may be required to remove your shoes.

Decorum

Please maintain decency of language as a courtesy towards your fellow passengers in the train and other visitors at the shrines/places your visit.
Do not be rude while interacting with locals and do not indulge in any arguments. In case of any doubts on any matter, please contact the Tour Manager.
Please be in groups and follow timings at the places you visit as per instructions of the Tour Manager.
Photography may be restricted at certain places. Do not offend the local regulations.
IRCTC reserves the right to remove any passenger that it feels is creating discord on the tour.

The itinerary provided to you may change due to unavoidable circumstances. Please follow the instructions of Tour Manager.
IRCTC shall not be responsible for any mishaps caused due to negligence, non-compliance of instructions etc.

It is mandatory to carry a Govt issued photo ID such as Voter's ID, Passport, etc. for hotel check-ins.
