The Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Rama, a form of lord Vishnu in Bhadrachalam. It is located on the banks of the Godavari river and is often referred to as Bhadrachalam or Bhadragiri.
It is considered one of the Divya Kshetrams of Godavari and is also known as Dakshina Ayodhya. This temple was built by saint Kancherla Gopanna, popularly known as Bhadrachala Ramadasu in 17th century.
Significance:
This temple follows the Vaishnavite Pancharatra Agama tradition and has four entrances the Rajagopuram is located at the northern entrance called Vaikunta Dwaram. The temple houses a number of sub-shrines and a few mandapams.
According to the legend Ramayana,lord Rama along with his consort Sita and brother Lakshmana stayed in the Dandaka forest as a part of their 14 year exile. Due to Rama's grace, a stone turned into a human called Bhadra.
According to temple's history, after Gopana's death Tumu Lakshmi Narasimha Dasu of Guntur and his friend Varada Ramadasu of Kanchipuram offered prayers daily at Bhadrachalam. After Varada Ramadasu's death, Narasimha Dasu carried his corpse into the Godavari and died by drowning.

Bhadrachalam bus stand is located at a distance of around 1.6 KM from the temple. You can reach the temple by taking a local bus or auto from the bus stand.
