The Yagachi River is a river in Karnataka and is a major tributary of Hemavathi river. It joins the Hemavati river near Gorur and has a small tributary called Votehole or Waterhole. Yagachi dam was constructed in 2001 across Yagachi river with a length of 1280 meters. It has a Gross Storage Capacity of 3.17 Tmcft(thousand million cubic feet). Yagachi along with Votehole serves the purpose of irrigation and drinking water for the cities of Belur, Chikkamaguluru, Arsikere and Hassan.

Mayura Yagachi Belur is situated at a distance of around 2.5 KM from Belur bus stand. Belur bus stand is at a distance of 2.7 KM from Yagachi dam.
