Visit the popular temples and waterfalls with the KSTDC Somnathpur, Mudukuthore, Talakadu and Shivanasamudra tour package from Mysore by bus. This tour drives you to the Keshava temple at Somnathpur, Vaidyanatheshwara temple at Talakadu, Gaganachukki & Barachukki twin waterfalls of Shivanasamudra falls and Mudukuthore Mallikarjuna swamy temple. Get the darshan of all these powerful deities with pick up and drop off from Mysore.

Mudukuthore is a pilgrim centre situated on the banks of the Kaveri river. The village is called T.Bettahalli and Mudukuthore is a mythological name. The name Mudukuthore is derived from Muduku means ‘diversion’ and thore means ‘flow forward’. It is well known for the lord Mallikarjuna temple of lord shiva. Arjuna, one of the Pandavas stayed at the hill at this temple location and carved an idol of Shiva and worshiped it with “Mallika pushpa”. This is why it is called Mallikarjuna temple.

Talakadu is a town on the left bank of Kaveri river and is popular for the lord Vaidyanatheswara temple. Shivanasamudra falls is a cluster of waterfalls on the borders of Malavalli, Mandya and Kollegal, Chamarajanagar in Karnataka. The Bharachukki falls in Kollegal, with a height of 69 metres, and the Gaganachukki falls in Malavalli, with a height of 90 metres, collectively form the Shivanasamudra falls.  The Chennakesava temple is a popular temple on the banks of river Kaveri at Somnathpur, Karnataka.

It was built in 1258 CE by Somnath Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala King Narasimha III. It was built in the Hoysala architecture enclosed with a pillared corridor of small shrines. The main temple in the center is on a high star-shaped platform. In 2023, this temple was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO as part of the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas.
