Pitra Chaya is derived from two sanskrit words, “Pitra” means ‘ancestors’ and “Chaya” means ‘shadow’. It is a hindu ritual which meant to honor ancestors made at holy rivers such as Ganga river. Our Pitra Chaya Express by Bharat gaurav tourist train package takes you to those holy places with Ganga river like Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Vishnuprayag, Devprayag and Nandprayag. Cover all the five prayags and darshan Har ki Pauri, Ram Jhula, Rudranath temple, Rudraprayag Sangam, Tarpan Shradh at Nandprayag, Ram Jhula and other shrines. This package includes train transportation & bus transportation for the trip, food and accommodation services along with a tour guide.
It is believed that during the “Shraadh Period” devotees visit these religious sites to pay homage to their ancestors.
