1. Madikeri Fort

Madikeri Fort or Mercara Fort was built by Mudduraja in the 17th century which included a palace within the fort. Later it was rebuilt by Tipu Sultan with granite stones. From 1812 to 1814, Linga Rajendra II made some renovations to the fort. The specialty of this fort is it includes two stone statues of elephants and a church.

2. Omkareshwara Temple

Omkareshwara temple is a temple dedicated to lord Shiva which is well known for its unique blend of Hindu & Islamic architectural styles. This architecture includes a central dome, minarets( pillars) and a pond in front making it spiritual and architectural attraction.

  • Timings: 6:30 AM To 12:00 PM ; 5:00 PM To 8:00 PM

3. Raja Seat Garden

Raja Seat is a scenic viewpoint surrounded by a garden, where Coorg kings once relaxed. It offers charming views of mist covered valleys, rolling hills and beautiful sunrise & sunset views.

4. Raja’s Tomb (Gaddige)

Raja’s tomb or Gaddige is situated in the middle of the landscaped gardens. The royal tombs of the Kodava rulers are present here and it includes domes, arches and carvings influenced by Indo-Islamic architecture, reflecting the dignity and legacy of Coorg’s former kings.

5. Abbey Waterfalls

It is situated within lush coffee plantations and dense forests. It is a charming place where water falls down through rocky slopes. The sound of flowing water adds a refreshing natural experience to the visitors. There is a hanging bridge constructed opposite the falls. These falls have a former name called Jessi Falls named after a British officer’s daughter. Mr. Neravanda B. Nanaiah found the waterfall and converted it into a coffee & spice plantation.

6. Mandalpatti Peak

Mandalpatti Peak is the highest peak of around 5900 feet height which is known for its panoramic views of the Western Ghats. It also offers a thrilling jeep safari ride giving an unforgettable experience of Coorg’s view. It is a popular and perfect place to go for trekking.

7. Chikilhole Reservoir
