About Katiki Waterfalls

The Katiki Falls is a scenic tourist destination near Visakhapatnam. It is about 50 feet high and is at the shortest distance from Borra Caves. The origin of this waterfalls is from the Gostani river and have unique features of transparent water and the greenery around it.

There is a pond at the bottom of the waterfall, where you can bath & relax. This place is also suitable for mountain climbing. Visitors usually set up tents, prepare meals and enjoy dining outdoors.

Significance:

These waterfalls only have water flow during the rainy season. It is completely dry during the summer season (from March to June). The monsoon starts in June and lasts up to September. So, it is best to visit these falls from August to December. 

The name Katiki is derived from the name of the village nearby. The pond at the bottom of the waterfall is the best place for taking a bath after a 20-30 minutes trek through dense forest & upwards to mountain top. 

How To Reach:

Araku bus stand is located at a distance of around 19 KM from the waterfalls. You can reach the falls by taking a local auto or cab from the bus stand. It is the comfortable way to reach the destination.
