Bannerghatta National park is a national park in Bangalore and was founded in 1970. It was declared as National park in 1974 and in 2002, a small portion of the park became a zoological garden which is now called the Bannerghatta Biological Park.
There are ancient temples in the park and is a perfect destination for trekking & hiking. This park offers a wide range of diverse wildlife to the explorers and they can enjoy a guided bus tour safari all along the 6 KM safari roads. Between 1995 and 2021, the dry forests in the National Park shrunk by around 44 % due to uncontrolled diversion of forest land for agricultural purposes.This park includes plants like neem, sandalwood, Bamboo, Eucalyptus, Tamarind and animals like Indian elephants, cobras, Indian leopard, Russell's Viper, fox, peacock, crocodile, spotted deer, Indian wolf, Flamingo and more.
There are various BMTC buses from various prominent locatios to Bannerghatta park.
After reaching Bangalore bus stand, you can take a city bus (365) from Kempegowda bus stand to reach the park.
You can board train from your nearest station and after reaching Bangalore station you can take city bus (365) to reach the park.
You can hire a taxi to reach the park directly from your location or you can drive through your personal car. You can come in any mode of transport to the park, but for safari you only have to go in their vehicle. You can't take your vehicle to the safari.
