About Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple

Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple is a beautiful ancient temple in Bangalore which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is known for its beautiful architecture,  rich history. The temple is significant shrine with peaceful atmosphere and is best hub for spiritual vibes. This temple is built in the Vijayanagara style of architecture.

Significance:

This temple inner sanctorum (Garbha Griha) houses idols of Sri Ranganatha Swami along with his consort/wife goddesses Sri Bhudevi and Neela Devi. It is located on Rangaswamy street which is named after the famous Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple.

Festivals Celebrated:

In this temple, Rathothsavam is grandly celebrated and will be held on Chaitra Suddha Pournami every year. A huge number of devotees come to visit this festival. On the same day Karaga festival is celebrated in this temple.

Also, on Vaikunta Ekadasi the Uttara Dwara Darshanam will be held and thousands of people come to this temple for that darshan. Only on this day devotees are allowed to do pradakshina within the inner temple.

You can reach the temple by taking a taxi or auto-rickshaw from any part of the city.
The nearest metro station is MG Road Metro Station.
