Tippu Gumbaz is a Islamic mausoleum located in the midddle of beautiful gardens in Srirangapatna. Gumbaz is a place where the graves of Tipu Sultan, his father Hyder Ali and his mother Fakhr-Un-Nisa are built.
This Gumbaz was developed by Tipu Sultan in 1782-84 to serve as a mausoleum for his father & mother. It was built in the Islamic architectural style with a large rectangle shaped garden. The garden surrounding it have species of flower plants from Persia, Ottoman, Turkey, Kabul and French Mauritius. The original doors of mausoleum are removed and the present doors are made of ebony and decorated with ivory. These doors were gifted by Lord Dalhousie.

Board a bus from your location to Srirangapatna and halt at Srirangapatna bus stand. From there, it is just 3.7 KM away and you can board 313 A bus to reach Gumbaz.
