About Adiyogi Statue

Adiyogi statue is located in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. Adiyogi means the first yogi, Lord Shiva who transmitted the science of yoga to Saptarishis. On 15 January 2023, the iconic face of "Adiyogi - the Source of Yoga" was opened by the Honourable CM of Karnataka. 

The statue is 2 feet tall, representing the 112 ways he offered for one to attain wellbeing. It was designed to serve as a reminder to direct every human being towards their freedom.

Significance:

Sadhguru designed the face of Adiyogi to display three aspects - liveliness, stillness and very happy.

It is located near Nandi Hills and adjacent to this statue there is a linga called Yogeshwar Linga. This statue represents five of the major chakras in human body.

Those five chakras are Muladhara(root chakra base of the spine), Swadhisthana (Sacral Chakra-lower abdomen), Manipura(Solar Plexus chakra - upper abdomen), Anahata(heart chakra) - center of the chest and Vishuddha(throat chakra-throat).

How To Reach:

Chikkaballapur bus stand is located at a distance of around 9 KM and railway station is at a distance of 9.6 KM from this statue.

Avalgurki bus stop is 4 KM away from the statue. You can take a local taxi or bus from bus stand. There are frequent buses to the Isha foundation from Chikkaballapur bus stand.
