Mandalpatti peak also called as Mugilu Pete is a view point and is one of the top tourist attractions of Coorg district. This peak is at a height of 1250 metres aboce sea level. To reach the peak rented four wheeler vehicles can be used. It is known for the best attractive views of Western Ghats, lush greenery and peaceful atmosphere. It also provides the best sunrise & sunset views.
Significance:
It is a part of the Pushpagiri Reserve Forest which is known for rich biodiversity and endemic (locally found) species. It is the significant & prime destination in Coorg over the years. It can be a best place for scenic treks. Else, you can reach this place with Jeep drive.
How To Reach:
To reach Mandalpatti, you need to go through another road which is 4 KM from before Abbey falls. There are no buses running to this destination. So, drop off at Madikeri bus stand and hire a local taxi or a jeep to reach upto Mandalpatti.
