The Bhagandeshwara temple is a significant & auspicious temple located in Bhagamandala. It is situated at the meeting point of three rivers Kaveri, Kannike and Sujyoti. This meeting point is known as Triveni Sangama which makes the place more spiritual and is a place for ritual bathing & prayers.This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva who is being worshipped here as Bhagandeshwara. It also has sub shrined of Ganapati, Subramanya and Mahavishnu. It was built with Kerala-style wood and tiles.
This temple is believed to be over a thousand years old. It is linked to the Bhaganda Maharshi, a sage who is believed to have performed meditation & pooja here. The Triveni Sangama is considered a highly spiritual site to perform rituals like Pindapradanam. Also, devotees can take a holy dip in the Sangama before visiting Talakaveri.The temple was renovated by Dodda Virarajendra, one of the Haleri Kings of Coorg in the late 18th century after being damaged for some reasons.
Shivratri, Navrateri and Kaveri Sankramana are the festivals celebrated with thousands of devotees.
Bhagamandala bus stand is just 120 m away from this temple. So, after reaching the bus stand, you can reach the temple by walk.
