The famous Anjanadri Hill is located in Hanumanahalli near Hampi across the Tungabhadra river. It is believed that Anjanadri Hills or Anjanadri Betta is the birthplace of lord Hanuman. These hills got its name Anjanadri Hills from the name of the lord who is also called as Anjaneya.
The open wide views of these hills provide lush greenery, attractive sunset view and the flow of Tungabhadra river between the mountains and rocks. You can also view the Hampi ruins and other majestic hills in the neighbourhood.
Significance:
According to the Hindu mythology, Anjana is the name of lord Hanuman's mother. Hanuman's father, mother and Kesari were blessed by lord Shiva to have a son who would be supernaturally powerful. Anjana devi meditated on the hill and considered the hill as a place where lord Hanuman was born.

How To Reach:
Anjanadri Betta bus stop is just 450 m away from the hill. You can reach the hill top by trek. Hampi bus stand is at a distance of around 22 KM. There are local KSRTC buses running frequently to Anjanadri from Hampi bus stand.
