There is a 18 ft statue of lord Hanuman which is a familiar attraction in Kanyakumari. It is located near the entrance to Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The statue represents the strength, devotion and courage. It is located in an open space, allowing visitors to worship and do prayers and view the beautiful view of ocean in the background.
It is also called as Suchindram Anjaneyar temple or Thanumalaya Perumal temple. This Hanuman statue will have special pooja with vada mala and it represents 'Visuvaroopam.' The statue is placed opposite the idols of Lord Rama & Sita devi. The statue's tail is turned upwards and is believed to be very powerful to perform puja to the tail.

Lord Hanuman is referred as the true example of devotion & loyalty as he shown towards Lord Rama. This statue stands as a symbol of faith & protection for devotees. It is located close to the other prime attractions in Kanyakumari. It is modern in construction and holds the mythological connection of Hanuman, who is believed to have crossed the sea in search of Sita. This is a story connected to Ramayana.
It is carved from a single piece of granite and is a perfect example of professional craftsmanship of ancient artisans. Hanuman statue was buried in 1740, possibly to protect it during times of conflict. It was rediscovered in 1930 and was restored & reinstated in the temple premises.

Suchindram bus stop is located just 300 m away from the temple. Kanyakumari bus stand is around 13 KM far from the temple. There are many local buses from bus stand to reach Suchindram bus stop. Else, you can take a local taxi to reach Suchindram.
