Wax museum

The Wax museum in Kanyakumari, also known as the Mayapuri wax museum located inside the Baywatch amusement park.  This museum is an engaging and unique tourist attraction that displays life-like wax statues of various popular members from different fields such as politicians, movie celebrities, and culture. 

It offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. The statues are crafted in detail representing famous personalities from India and around the world. Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mother Teresa, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dr. Manmohan Singh and film stars from Indian film industry like Amithabh Bacchan, Sharukh Khan, Jackie Chan are the statues present inside.

This museum is a modern attraction that was created to offer tourists an oppurtunity to witness realistic displays  of popular personalities.  It was established in 2005 and continues to be a source of great amusement and entertainment to tourists visiting Kanyakumari. The other attraction in the museum is 3D paintings. 

The wax museum is created following the style and concept of world famous Madame Tussaud's in London. This wax museum has exciting stuff inside and kids will especially love the museum. Visitors can get a chance to see their favourite stars up close and take selfies.  Popular sports personalities also have wax statues here. 

How To Reach Wax museum:

Kanyakumari bus stand is located at a distance of around 1.4 KM from this museum. While the railway station is just around 300m away from the museum. You can take an auto rickshaw or a local taxi to reach the museum from bus stand. From station, you can reach museum by walk.
