Chettiyar Park is a well maintained park in Kodaikanal. It was developed in 1977 by Kodaikanal municipality. This park was named after the Chettiar community as they contributed so much to this region. It was originally a farmland, later it was changed to a public space with lush lawns, flower beds, a variety of trees and shrubs.
The park is one of the few place where the rare Kurinji flower blooms once every 12 years and these flowers shine in purple colour. It provides a peaceful environment for relaxation and nature walks making it a popular spot for both tourists and locals. The park's vibrant flowers, landscaped gardens make it beautiful attraction. The park includes a variety of local flora, making it ideal. The open lawns & clean paths make it a great spot for family & kids. It is in less proximity to Kurinji Andavar temple.
Kodaikanal bus stand is located at a distance of around 3.7 KM from this park. You can hire a taxi from the bus stand to reach the park.
