History:
About 400 years ago, a Yadava named Singam Sanjeeva came to this hilly area in the work of feeding cows on grass. Then one of the cows went missing and in search of it, Sanjeeva found a big tree nearby and he slept under it comforting himself.
He went to sleep and in his dream, the lord appeared and said "I am here in the Koranda bush. Protect me from the sun, rain and thorns, there is the trace of your cow." Sanjeev got up in a panic and searched for the cow, at the place lord said.
The cow came to him running from a distance. He built a small temple for the lord here. It was built 300 years ago and the present temple was built 160 years ago by Krishna Rao Deshmukh.
