About Madhyaranga temple

Madhyaranga temple is the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple which is located in Shivanasamudra near Male Mahadeswara hills. This temple is dedicated to the god Ranganatha, a form of Vishnu. 

This temple is built on three different islands on the river Kaveri. It was built in the Dravidian style of architecture. Sri Ranganathaswamy here is also referred to as "Madhya Ranga". 

Significance:

It is the second of the three Rangantha temples on the banks of Kaveri river. Thus it is called Madhya Ranga temple. The other two temples are Adi Ranga in Shrirangapatna and Antya Ranga in Srirangam. 

Madhya Ranga is said to symbolize the nurturing and sustaining power of Lord Vishnu. It was built in Dravidian style of architecture with traditional carvings and sculptures of Lord Vishnu and his consorts.

How To Reach:

Rottikatte bus stop is located at a distance of around 8.9 KM from this temple and is the nearest bus stop. You can take a local taxi to reach the temple from the bus stop.
