Botanical Garden

The Government Botanical Garden (also sometimes referred to as the KDFC Flower Garden or Rose Garden) is a prominent example, located just a short distance from the main Munnar town. These gardens are beautifully landscaped and maintained with a different varieties of plant species that grows in Munnar's cool climate. 

You can see a wide variety of flowering plants, including many rose species, as well as orchids, medicinal herbs, cacti and ornamental plants. Some of these gardens also feature elements like small water bodies, open air theaters and small shops. Many gardens also have dedicated sections for rare plant species, providing an educational aspect to the visit.

How To Reach

Munnar bus stand is located at a distance of around 1.3 KM from the botanical gardens. You can take a local bus or auto from the bus stand to reach the gardens.
