Kalahatti Falls

Kalahatti Falls in Ooty is also called as Bird Watcher's Falls and is a popular attraction. These falls are located at an height of about 5200 ft in Sigur Plateau. This place is rich in bird life. Wild animals such as deer, wild buffalo and sambhar come to drink water. From Kalhatti village it is 3 KM away and can reach by short trek.The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and is a must visit destination for nature & adventure lovers. This falls are best to visit after monsoon season.

These falls surrounded by wave like hills and believed to have sheltered Sage Agastya.This route connects Ooty to Masinagudi. You can enjoy a hike from here to the viewpoint. You have to come down 150 steps to reach the foot of the waterfalls. The popular hill town of Bellikal is situated near the falls.

How To Reach

Ooty central bus stand is around 13 KM away from these falls. You can take a local taxi to reach upto the trekking point. From there, you have to trek to reach the waterfalls.
