Ramarpadam temple also known as Ramar Patham is a significant shrine located on the top of the Gandhamadana Parvatam. It is the highest natural point in Rameswaram. According to puranas, it is believed that Lord Rama stood on the top of the hill and surveyed the sea to plan his journey to Lanka in the process of rescuing Sita. Rameswaram bus stand is located at a distance of 3.6 KM and railway station is located at a distance of around 2.8 KM from this shrine. So, you can take an auto rickshaw or a local taxi to reach the shrine easily.
