Chitkala, a devotee of lord Shiva, picked Ippa flowers that turned into gold by Shiva's grace, causing jealousy & conflict. When the chief tried to cut the tree, Shiva appeared, saved Chitkala, and freed the cursed Gandharvas, manifesting as Madhukeshwara.
