About Science & Technology Museum

The Kerala Science & Technology Museum is an autonomous institution established by Government of Kerala. It was established in 1984, as a center for popularisation of science & scientific temper among the general public. The institution is in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city and Priyadarsini Planetarium is attached to the museum from 1994.

This museum includes 10 galleries displaying over 300 interactive exhibits related to electricity, electronics, mechanics, automobiles, solar energy, mathematics, biomedical and computer science. The museum grounds includes a children's science park, energy park and a play park. It has a planetarium with seating capacity of 240 people. The museum has a 3D theatre, Science on a Sphere display, observatory for night sky viewing, laser water fountain.

This museum plays an important role in improving interest in science, especially among students and young learners. It helps people become more curious and excited about science. The museum has many interactive exhibits, a planetarium, an observatory and mobile science units that make learning fun & easy to understand.

How To Reach

Trivandrum bus stand is located at a distance of around 3.2 KM from the museum. You can reach the museum by taking a auto or a local bus from the bus stand.
