About Anegudde Vinayaka temple

Anegudde is a small hill which is well known for lord Ganesha temple. At the foot of the hillock there is a place called Kumbasi or Kumbashi which is a village of Udupi district. It lies on the way from Udupi towards Kundapura.Kumbhashi is one of the seven "Mukti Sthalas".

It is one of the popukar & beautiful temple in peaceful ambience which is called as one of the Saptakshetra of Tulunaadu and as Mukti Sthala.

Significance:

The deity here is called Siddhi Vinayaka or Sarva Siddhi Pradaayaka which means he will grant  fulfill wishes of his devotees. The garba griha or the main sanctum has the idol of lord Vinayaka resembling four arms in a huge rock like structure covered with silver plate. Two arms are represented as "Varada Hasta" and two hands indicate to attain mukti. 

Anegudde means Aane(elephant) Gudde(hillock) and is the temple of elephant god, Sri Vinayaka. It is one of the seven temples of Parashurama Srishti which are believe to be created by sage Parashurama.

How To Reach:

Kumbashi bus stop is the nearest bus stop to this temple which is just 750 m away. You can reach the temple by walk from Kumbashi.
