Ramakrishna Beach also known as Ramakrishna Mission Beach is a popular beach in Visakhapatnam. The beach gets its name from the Ramakrishna Math located here. It is primarily known for the INS Kursura S20 submarine museum, a Calvary-class submarine.
It is commonly known as R.K Beach in Vizag and is one of the famous beaches and tourist attractions in Vizag. On the beach, swimming, sunbathing and beach volleyball are popular activities.
It has other attractions including an aquarium, Kali temple, Visakha museum, seafood restaurants and roadside restaurants. INS Kursura Submarine Museum, which is preserved for public viewing.
The aircraft museum TU-142, which was opened as a counterpart to the INS Kursura Submarine Museum. The city administration has taken extra care to make the beach a more attractive place. This beach is jointly developed by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation(GVMC) and the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority(VUDA).
Visakhapatnam bus stand is located at a distance of around 2.6 KM from the temple. You can reach the beach by taking a local auto from the bus stand.
