Rajamahendravaram, is a city in the Indian province of Andhra Pradesh situated on the banks of the Godavari River in East Godavari district.It is a city partnership and furthermore the base camp of both Rajahmundry Rural and Rajahmundry Urban mandals,administered under Rajahmundry income division.As of 2018 statistics, it is the fifth most crowded city in the state, with a populace of 540,825.

Tirunelveli has a number of historical monuments, the Swami Nellaiappar Temple being the most prominent.
