Lakkundi also known as Lokkugundi is a village in Gadag district of Karnataka. It was a city before the 14th century. By 12th century, many Hindu and Jain temples had been dedicated to worship here. This village had over 50 temple ruins and some of the major temples have been restored and maintained by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) now.
