The Akasa Ganga is a holy water bath located in Tirumala. It is located at a shortest distance to the Tirumala temple. It is believed that Anjana Devi performed meditation here for a long time and conceived Anjaneya. It is a tradition for the Tirumala Nambi family to bring three silver vessels of Akasha Tirumala water for the daily abhishekam of the lord.

Devotees believe that bathing in the waters of Akasa Ganga helps wash away sins and brings spiritual blessings. According to legend, lord Venkateswara ordered Garuda to bring the Ganga from the sky to Tirumala for the daily ritual bathing. Thus, the stream is called "Akasa Ganga" which means Ganga from the sky. It is surrounded by lush forests and rocks.
Tirumala bus stand is located at a distance of around 5.4 KM from the Akasa Ganga. You can take a local taxi to reach the destination from the bus stand. Else, you can take the local bus provided for the sightseeing.
