Papa Vinasanam or Papa Nashanam is located in Tirumala. It is a holy water stream & waterfall. The name "Papavinasanam" means "destruction of sins" and is one of the most visited holy sites in and around Tirumala.
The waters of Papavinasanam are believed to possess divine powers to wash away one's sins. Taking a holy bath in this water is considered highly purifying. Devotees often include Papavinasanam in their visit to Tirumala along with other spiritual places like Akasa Ganga, Japali teertham and Srivari Paadalu.
According to legend, the holy waters originated by the will of Lord Venkateswara to bless devotees and relieve them of their karma. It is surrounded by green hills and rocky surface, the area also provides a calm and scenic environment for prayer & reflection.
A small temple dedicated to lord Venkateswara is also located near the waterfall, where devotees offer prayers after cleansing themselves in the water. It is not only a beautiful natural attraction but also holds deep religious importance for devotees visitng Tirumala. The belief that its sacred waters clean sins which makes it a powerful symbol of spiritual renewal, drawing thousands of devotees every year.
Tirumala bus stand is located at a distance of 4.1 KM from Papavinasanam. You can reach the Papavinasanam by taking a local taxi or bus from the bus stand.
