Mysore Palace

Mysore Palace which is also known as ‘Amba Vilas’ is one of the historical and largest palaces in India. Mysore Palace in Mysore stands as one of the best places to visit in Mysore. Indian famous festival Dussehra is celebrated in the Palace following the rituals of the rich Wodeyar Dynasty every year in the month of October and the palace was architectured in Indo-Saracenic style by Henry Irwin.

Mysore Palace Specialty:

  • Mysore Palace has four entrances, of which is the main entrance called Jaya Marthanda to East entrance, Jayarama to North entrance, Balarama to South entrance, Varaha to the west entrance. Visitor Entry is from Varaha Gate.
  • Audio Kits are available at Mysore Palace in the following languages: English, Hindi, Kanada, German, Italian, Japanese, French.
  • Mysore Palace gets more than 5 million visitors every year and is the most visited tourist place in Karnataka.
  • The palace attractions hold pictures, royal paintings, furnishings, vintage cars, royal clothing, art crafts and many more.
  • Mysore palace has many temples of which Sri Lakshmi Ramana Swami Temple, Kodi Bhairava Swamy Temple, Sri Shweta Varahaswamy Temple, Sri Trinayaneshvara Swami Temple, Sri Prasanna Krishnaswamy temple, Kille Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Sri Bhuvaneshwari Temple, Sri Gayatri Temple are the famous temple and never miss visiting them in the palace.

Way to Reach Mysore Palace:

Several buses in the city are found traveling from Mysore to Mysore palace. Cabs, autos, and buses are available in the Mysore city to reach the Mysore Palace.

Mysore Palace Entry Fee

  • Adult: Rs 40/- per head
  • Children: Rs 20/- per head (below 10 years)
  • Students: Rs 10/- per head(Letter from School is Required)
  • Foreigns: Rs 200/- per head

Note: 

  • Entrance from Varaha gate of the Mysore Palace
  • Audio Kit Facility for Indians with additional cost and for Foreign Visitors is included in the Entrance Fee

Mysore Maharaja Palace Sound and Light Show Entry Fee:

  • Adult: Rs 40/- per head
  • Children: Rs 25/- per head (7-12years)
  • Foreigns: Rs 200/- per head

  • Monday – Saturday: 7.00 PM - 7.45 PM(Weekdays)
  • Closed: National Holidays and State Festivals
